Buon Anno! (Happy New Year!) from Italian school, we hope you plan to improve your Italian in 2026!

Here are a few updates about our programs:

  1. Italian classes for adults resume next week and the following, you are still in time to enroll until the second class starts, see https://www.italianschoolsd.com/adults
  2. We launched a preparation course taught by our school director Maura D'Andrea focused on AP Italian for High Schoolers, which we will host in May 2026, see the flyer below and https://italianschoolsd.com/ap-prep
  3. Our Italian class in the morning for kids 4 years old and over start on January 21st, see the flyer below or https://italianschoolsd.com/homeschool
  4. Our immigration lawyer is working on several "Italian citizenship" by birth or by marriage already, see https://www.italianschoolsd.com/italian-citizenship-and-visa/ if you need help. Notice that parents have until May 31, 2026 to pass Italian citizenship to minor kids before stricter rules apply, do not wait!
  5. Finally, we do not spend any funds on advertising, so please help us spread the word with your friends.

Enrollment is still open for our in‑person Italian language classes in San Diego starting next week. If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time to join and secure your spot.

Class placement (find the right program):

First week schedule:

  • Wednesday, Aug 27 – Italian as a Foreign Language (all levels) at 4:00 PM
  • Thursday, Aug 28 – Italian for Italian / Heritage Speakers at 4:15 PM

Both tracks serve TK–12 (students are grouped by age and proficiency so beginners and heritage speakers learn at the right pace).

Already enrolled? A welcome email with the subject line: “Benvenuti to Italian School of San Diego – First Class Information” was sent to parent/guardian emails on file. If you did not receive it, please check spam/promotions and then contact us so we can resend it.

Planning a trip to Italy? Join our “Italian for Travelers” program, perfect for families and beginners. Kids (8+) are welcome.

Coach Navid started playing competitive chess at age 9 and is now United States Chess Federation Expert, and has been teaching chess in schools across San Diego county since 2021.

The program is suitable both for complete beginners and for players already familiar with Chess:
